HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

So, today Miles had a "autumn celebration" parade and party at school. Our friend the Stachen's got pictures, so those will come later.

We came home and got ready for trick-or-treating and the hordes of people that come to the house every year for candy. Miles was a bit reluctant at first to get in his costume, until the first knock on the door. He saw those other kids in their costumes and wanted to join right in! He got it on quickly and headed out with Daddy while Mommy stayed behind to prevent any egging (translation: give out handfuls of candy). He came back to the house periodically to check in and then back out again. He helped Mommy give out candy, though he was a bit confused at first and took a handful of his own candy and put it in some little girls bag (she was pretty cute!). He had so much fun hanging out on the steps, watching everyone go by. Needless to say, he ate 3 DumDums, a bag of Teddy Grahams, and a box of raisins while sitting there and was off the wall by the time we were heading up for bed. Hopefully he sleeps and remembers nothing of the leniency on our part. We had less trick-or-treaters this year than we can remember in the past, but still a lot. All in all a good Halloween 2007!
