Our Vacation to the Beach

So we had a great vacation last week. We stayed in one of the apartments at Dena's grandparents house on Salisbury Beach. Walk right out the door to the sand and the ocean... so great! Miles had a great time! We had Birthday Party #2 and the whole Fleno/Sherwood clan came to celebrate!

Miles got a lot of toys, but especially loved the horse Auntie bought him.

Monday was a bit rainy at the beach, so we decided to take a trip into Boston to go to the aquarium. Miles loved the penguins, though they didn't dance much (we had watched a bit of Happy Feet)! He wanted to go swimming in the tank when we got to the top. The divers were feeding the fish, and he kept saying "Miles' turn!"

The rest of the week was gorgeous! We spent a lot of time on the beach and in the water, hence the lack of pictures ON the beach.

We took Miles almost every night to the center, the place where the arcades still are, but very few rides, except for the quarter horses. Miles loved throwing the balls into Big Bertha's mouth! And with a little (ok, a lot of) help from Meaghan, Mark, Daddy, PaPa, and Nanna, Miles won a considerable amount of tickets. We kept the tradition that Uncle Mark set, and are saving most of them for a really great prize later, though we did get some candy, and a cool Sesame Street basketball.

It was a great week, one we will not soon forget (especially Miles, who continues to ask to go to the center). We hope we can do it again next year, and can't wait!!!!

Miles' Birthday Party #1

We had a cookout here in CT on Sunday. We had some friends come over to celebrate, complete with pool, Bounce House (thanks Statchens!), and Caillou everywhere. It was a beautiful day and Miles had a blast! We'll be having birthday party #2 up at the beach next Sunday. Enjoy the pictures!

Happy Birthday, MILES!!!!!

Today our baby is a 2 year old. The time has flown by faster than we could have imagined.

Miles, you are the best thing that ever happened to Mommy and Daddy, and we enjoy watching you grow every minute. You have become a smart, funny, sensitive, loving, caring and giving little boy in only two short years, and we can't wait to see you continue to grow into an amazing person! We love you more than words could every express and love being your Mommy and Daddy!
Always and forever.
